I am switching from Comcast to Frontier fiber next weekend. Currently I run a Linksys WRT32X router that has been working very well in my setup. Especially the range from my main floor where its located to my basement and it extends out to a very good distance outside in my front and back yard. I am only going to be using Frontier for internet, no TV or Phone. Can I use my router with the new service or am I bound to the EERO? If I cannot use my router, are there any other options I can use with this service?
Last question is, I am unsure where they will be installing the device that transitions the fiber to cat6 that will go to the EERO in my home. But where they terminate the fiber inside the home, can I extend the fiber cable if I need to relocate that device? For example some sort of union on the fiber cable to attach another fiber cable and extend it?
