Hello All,
I have Frontier DSL (12Mbps) in the Rochester NY area. My modem is fairly new and is a Frontier supplied DLink 2200D.
Today my modem has locked up 5-6 times and I can not log in via a computer when it locks up. The lights are all on with the Ethernet ones blinking, the DSL is sold green, & the Internet one solid blue. If I power cycle the modem everything comes back up except the Internet one becomes a blinking blue. Everything works for awhile and then I have to power cycle again.
Called Frontier and they said they were having Internet problems in NY and that was causing the problem. Does that sound correct? After the power cycle everything runs fine and the speed tests at the full 12 Mbps until it locks up again.
What do you guys think? Bad modem or actual Internet problems?
