With articles like this on the front page today, I'm curious if there are any other known plans for Frontier to expand deployment in areas that Frontier already services, but hasn't deployed fiber to all areas within that geography.. Just anything from public information is what I'm looking for.. I hope those articles mean that they're going back and covering existing areas they just have fibered up yet.
My scenario is that i'm looking to purchase a home in St Petersburg, FL which does have frontier city wide for legacy copper services, and has deployed Fiber (assuming Verizon did it at the time).. However it's like finding a needle in a haystack here where it's deployed vs not.. The home I'm looking to buy has Spectrum and WOW, so at least there are two cable providers but as we know their upstream isn't very good.. Hopefully they're going to rollout higher upstream speeds with Docsis 3.1 or 4.0 sooner than later..
In any case, my past two homes I've had fiber from Frontier/Verizon and I really want that service, but i'm being forced to cable here..
One can hope :)
