[FiberOptic] Frontier Static IP: WAN vs. Public LAN

I'm a new Frontier Fiber customer with business 500/500 service. I also ordered a single static IP address during the call with sales. After a bit of confusion around getting the IP assigned, a tech came out and installed a modem (in addition to the ONT which terminates the fiber). Looking through the modem settings, it is being assigned a public WAN address via DHCP, and also has a "Public LAN" network assigned, which contains my single static IP address. This is the first time I have encountered the concept of a "Public LAN" from an ISP. My current internet provider (Breezeline cable) provides me with a static IP address that I simply configure on my router, which is then connected directly to the cable modem. I was assuming Frontier would operate in a similar way, where my network would be assigned a single static IP, which I would configure on my router. Instead, I appear to have two route-able IPs - the WAN address assigned via DHCP and the Public LAN address. I'm curious if anyone has had experience with this service and can confirm whether or not this is a normal set-up. I mostly just want to be sure I wasn't sold a "Public LAN" by mistake when all I really need is a simple, single static IP.
