Recently watched Frontier deploy their fiber network in my home town. Seems like they have fiber drop points every 4 poles or so and then a main splice enclosure nearby which then leads to a pole mounted FDH where the techs light up the connections to each house and where the fiber splitters are housed.
A couple towns over I have been watching altice/optimum deploy their fiber network and their design seems vastly different. It appears they need spicing every other pole and I have yet to find any FDH or equivalent enclosures mounted nearby.
Not sure how the two designs differ or if one is preferred over the other. As on outsider who is just watching it seems like the Optimum/altice deployment is much more time consuming due to all the additional fiber splicing required.
Anyone on this forum know how the two deployments differ technically? This is the Fairfield country area of CT.
