For starters, I am aware of the issues with Frontier customer service. But I want to see if anyone else has had this issue, if they had a resolution to it. In the last few weeks, a new fiber fed DSLAM was installed at the end of our road. In the last week or so, they have begun to add customers to the upgraded service. Of course, it’s obvious that the service has been added because CAF funding is available in parts of this area. (Clark Co IN). However, I am aware of at least one customer who is outside of the FCC funding zone that has received the upgrade. A local technician told me to call frontier because he had been told that our street was available for the upgrade to faster speeds. When I called them the engineers say that there were no upgrades of service available to me. The DSLAM is about 3/4 of a mile from my house. I guess my question is, when others have had problems getting through to the correct people or can make inroads around the ineptitude that is frontier customer support and engineering, what was the trick? It’s obvious this service is available, but they will not do it. And it blows my mind.
