3 months ago my wife wanted an alternative to her $85 monthly charter plan. We had received a flyer in the mail for a $19.99 internet(6mbps/1mbps) and $19.99 phone line promo. after talking to a rep from frontier he guaranteed the monthly bill was going to be $44.99. Sounded awesome. The only reason we looked into them was because of the price difference we would be saving. Got the first bill $71.21, ok,, maybe it's got the hookup fee included. second bill arrives, same price $71.21. I contacted customer support/billing and they looked into it and blatantly told me that someone had not marked our account under the promotion and thats why we were being charged $71.21. He says you're good now your bill will reflect correctly on the next statement and i'll have a forwarded balance. third bill arrives and its the same $71.21, at this point I'm like wth.
Contact them and they say, yes your bill is $44.99 a month,(and with a slightly lower tone follows with *Before Taxes*) taxes on my bill are $26.00. lol I ask the young lady who in their right mind doesn't want to know how much they're paying monthly? She proceeds to tell me that she's sorry for whoever set me up for failure. I asked if i could request all recorded conversations with frontier and she said yes, but i'll need to get my supervisor.
Long story short, is this a form of bait and switch or am i crazy?
