This is not a rant.
I just wanted to share that I cancelled TV and phone service as it was just way too expensive since Frontier took over from Verizon. I am still using their 75/75 Internet.
I called once a few months ago asking if hey could lower the price. They said I had better than normal pricing already since I was an ex-Verizon customer and couldn't offer anything better. I called last night to cancel and they made no effort to keep me from cancelling. I was a little surprised, but I had made up my mind anyway.
I asked them if I needed to return the equipment as I have a Quantum DVR and two STBs. They said any Verizon equipment is considered legacy and they did not want it back. I was surprised about that too.
Frontier not even attempting to retain customers on their services and also giving away equipment doesn't seem very good for their business.
For those that are interested I am trying out Sling TV for now. My next options are Direct TV and Spectrum.
