This is my first post so if this is in the incorrect location or lacks necessary information, please let me know and I'll post whatever I need to add.
The issue: I've been experiencing sporadic packet losses for awhile. Usually when something like this occurs, it's due to something that Frontier might be doing with a given system and clears up within a few hours or days. This time, however, it's been more chronic and debilitating.
I've been trying to use PingPlotterPro to diagnose the source. The latency appears to derive from my router, so I went looking throughout my home to see if any wires needed attention and one particular splice was a mess (one I didn't realize existed in my basement). I redid it and made it much better but I'm still experiencing major drops / latency and it's just too sporadic to form any pattern against though sometimes, PingPlotterPro does indicate that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hop systems from Frontier as being occasional sources of 10%+ packet loss locations. In Frontier's defense, I'm still thinking it's something to do with either my router or line.
All that being said, here's some statistics from my wireless router (Frontier Model 7550):

More information:
A Frontier rep came out to the residence last week to look at things outside of the home (I couldn't be home due to work). He indicated that "he changed some things" and "doubled my speed." After using Speakeasy, I did verify that he doubled the speed apparently free of charge after verifying with a quick call to tech support, but even despite this generosity, I still experience drops from the connection and I'm at a complete loss as to why. My only guess is that I either have a persistent line issue or else my router is beginning to go out. Speakeasy line tests maintain an average of about ~5.33 Mbps but often drop down to almost ~1x or ~3x Mbps before finishing the download check. The upload never seems to take any hits, though, and always returns an expected (good) result.
This issue is happening in the Brazil, Indiana region and I've scheduled another tech visit for this Tuesday (which I plan on being home for this time). I just wanted to reach out to anyone on this site to see if they might have any suggestions or helpful advice before that visit.
Any assistance or insight into this would be very appreciated.
