Hi ALL,
I'm coming off a 2 year bundle started with Vz and its taken me at least 5 or 6 calls to cust service to get a new deal set up and each call lasted for an hour or more with each cust service rep giving me different information and none of the orders actually completed. Each time I would look at the order via Frontier.com and it never made any sense until this last call so I'm hoping it finally will go through.
I currently have 75/75, phone service and Extreme HD with the Fully Loaded Entertainment Pack. These are all Vz "grandfathered" services and the last rep said they all have to be removed in order to get the new deals from Fr. She also said that there is a better bundled deal of 100/100, phone and Ultimate TV.
So I'm moving from 75/75 to 100/100 even though I really don't need the speed increase. I've had FiOS since it was available in my area so my ONT is one of the older ones and its working perfectly well. Can the older ONTs support 100/100 or will they have to upgrade my ONT. The reason I ask is that I'm still not sure I'll be staying with Fr as Brighthouse (now Spectrum) has now lowered their pricing and is quite a bit better than Fr so I'd rather not get a new ONT only to decide later on to leave Fr.
I'm also upgrading from the 2 tuner DVR to the Quantum DVR. My router is not the Quantum router but the latest Actiontec rev I. Would any of this require a new ONT and would the Quantum DVR be able to work with the rev I router?
The reason I'm asking all this is I was supposed to get the new Q DVR via UPS for self install but of course they sent me a plain old 2 tuner DVR. The cust rep said they no longer send the Q DVR for self install and that a tech will have to come out with the Q DVR and install it. But I'm wondering if the tech will have to do any other changes.
