A similar thread was posted about slowdowns in Florida. Apparently those issues have been resolved. I'm starting a separate thread to gauge the issues in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas.
From what I have heard so far from other forum member dmguru, MXNPD is that around 11:30pm on the 23rd, packet loss through one of the Level 3 routers went way up. I saw mention in a Twitter reply that there were 2 outages around that time. One was a cable cut in Denton, and the other was a core router outage.
Twitter: "Hi, Manda. We do not lie to our customers. There were two completely separate and unrelated outages yesterday that impacted Denton. The first one was due to a fiber cut, and the later one was the core router went down. ^Ian"
I suspect that the core router outage must be ongoing, and affecting a much larger area than just Denton.
