So I recently got Frontier Fiber installed at my home. They gave me an Aris NVG468MQ modem and eero 6 pro router. I don't use the modem or their eero 6 pro router. I just connect the ONT directly to my own router setup so I have no need for their equipment (with the exception being the ONT). I also don't want to be charged for it in the future because I've found that often equipment that your ISP gives you is never free. So I contacted their tech support to ask how to return their equipment. They tried to process an equipment return but couldn't. They said I could keep the NVG468MQ modem and eero 6 pro router or recycle it?
This seems a little strange because on their website it says I have to at least return the eero pro 6 router.

Is this information correct or did I get wrong information from their tech support rep?
