In another thread claibourne mentioned: "A tech recently told me they're testing a new router with internal employees and some customers. He said it has WiFi 6 but didn't know any other details. Nor did he know how to get on their customer-tester list." Edit: I later discovered the router version of this below, shortly after writing this up. It seems like I found something that popped up on the FCC site over the past couple days. Still looking to find what the router itself would be(hopefully one that would allow 2.5G over both WAN and LAN), but I did find this 'extender' device which seemed to be tri-band AX, which would suggest the router would also be tri-band AX. However, it's possible this *is* the router, despite it being called an extender, since the label says it comes with basic FrontierXXXX SSIDs and device access codes like the routers normally do. It's also classified as a "Wireless Home Router" than something differently, but sometimes APs can fall under this if they have router functionality in some way(but may not be enabled). The device is the Sagemcom FAST399 https://gov.fccid.io/VW3FAST399 The FCC documents indicate that the device would be 3x3 AX on 2.4 GHz, and 4x4 AX on 5 GHz, and 4X4 AX on 6 GHz(which would suggest 6E). I however cannot find test results for the new wireless band, so maybe it's not enabled or something yet. It only lists results for the 3x3 2.4 GHz and 4x4 5 GHz, and the remaining 4 antennas for 6 GHz were untested it seems. The device also mentions no DFS support at the moment. The documents hint that the transmit power is fairly high, so those coming from the G1100 and NVG468MQ(assuming this FAST399 is the router - edit: It's the FAST5290) should see a noticeable range improvement. Photos from the FCC link above - [att=1] [att=2] The photos and such won't be available until February. The documents otherwise don't seem to suggest the ports on the device, other than mentioning it comes with a 12V 2.5A power adapter. it may be 2 Ethernet ports + power. EDIT: Actually, I looked a little bit back, and I found the FAST5290, which is specifically mentioned as "Fiber Wireless Router" with a similar label to the FAST399, expect saying router. The specifications and signal power are essentially the same. The router mentions a 12V 5.0A adapter. The documents suggest it was tested with a power cable(obviously), RJ-45*2 cable, RJ-45 cable, RJ-11 cable, coaxial cable, and 'audio cable.' ?? https://gov.fccid.io/VW3FAST5290 [att=3]
