Hello all! I'm hoping that someone can give me some insight into diagnosing a potential problem. I have Frontier FIOS 500/500 service. For clarity, an ethernet cable runs to my primary ROUTER, which is an NVG468MQ. I also have a Frontier branded "FIOS-G1100" that is in bridge mode (hope I have the terminology correct) in my den. The G1100 is connected to a coax jack, but shares the same SSID as the NVG468MQ. All has been well with this system for quite some time.
Like many, I've been working from home. My work setup is in the room with the G1100. Because its on one side of the room and my desk on the other, I originally began connecting wirelessly. Work also requires that I use a VPN to access work resources. I began running to issues like Edge or Chrome would start downloading a file, indicate that it would open file when the download is complete, but never complete the download or open the file. I've also received the spinning wheel of death when using Outlook, but that's more rare.
I appreciate that these problems could be the result of any number of reasons. If possible, I'd like to exclude my infrastructure as one of those reasons. Any idea how I can do that short of taking my laptop to Starbucks and seeing if the problem replicates?
TIA!
