People lucky enough in the Hartford and New Haven suburbs are getting to choose between Frontier's Fiber Optic and GoNetSpeed's fiber service. Both providers offer similar packages and prices.
If I recall correctly, Frontier's fiber uses XGS-PON which gives a max throughout of 10Gbps down and up (split among like a dozen homes or so). Does anyone know what GoNetSpeed uses and how they split it among # of homes?
Is one's overall network infrastructure better than the other (including P2P, backbone and overall routing)? Does it really matter as long as it's not ancient coax cable or DSL? :D
