Hey everyone,
So I'm pretty much at my wits end with this issue, and I've been trying to get it resolved to no avail. We have a landline with DSL and whenever it's hot/humid there's static in the phone and it causes packet loss and disconnects sometimes. It usually happens from 9 am-ish to around 5-6 pm at night. Though lately it's been happening even when it's not humid or overly hot.
I've tried everything I can, even removing the filter and plugging the phone straight into the wall and same with the router, the static still persists. They've had multiple techs come out and try to investigate it, one of them even replaced the line from the box outside the house and the wall jack, didn't fix it. I've been told by them that they can't do much unless the static is going on when they're there. (Conveniently it never happens during the appointments zzz) So, is there anything I can do to get this fixed? It's driving me insane. Thanks guys.
