[DSL] Major Isuses with Actiontec F2250 and DSL Connection

At our vacation home in the Adirondacks, we have an ~18/1 ADSL Bonded connection provided through an Actiontec F2250 gateway. The connection drops multiple times per day, and is extremely unreliable. We have both wired and wireless devices attached to the gateway, with the same behavior exhibited on all devices. The connection will go down for about 3-5 minutes, and then come back again, for who knows how long. We've had Frontier out a few times, but they can never find anything wrong. I have reset the gateway to factory settings in the web GUI, but that made no difference. Power cycling the gateway also doesn't make a difference, it's best to just leave it plugged in as the connection will "repair" itself automatically. We have thermostats and cameras attached to the network, and as it's a vacation home, a stable connection is very important. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions for what to try next? We were thinking of replacing the gateway (from Frontier) as a next step, but wanted to see if there were other solutions here. Purchasing a non-Frontier provided modem was another thought I had, but last I checked, I couldn't find any that supported the type of ADSL bonded connection we are provided.
