Anyone used these? https://www.amazon.com/goCoax-Adapter-2-5Gbps-Ethernet-WF-803M/dp/B07XYDG7WN/ Ordered a pair on Tuesday and they should arrive today. This will be my first serious venture into MoCA. I have the Frontier provided NVG468MQ with 500/500 provisioned over ethernet as well as 3 STBs. Will I still need to plug the NVG468MQ into coax once I have these gocoax adapters on my network? Can I ditch the NVG468MQ entirely if I so choose once I have these hooked up? One will go next to the router upstairs, one will go next to the TV downstairs. My PS4 seems to hate WiFi. With this I ought to be able to run ethernet from the adapter to the PS4. My Roku seems to do just fine on WiFi, and it's right next to the PS4. Still, maybe I'll look into better/more WiFi equipment to get a better signal downstairs. Lots to choose from... I've heard MoCA can degrade to older and slower versions of the spec if older devices are on the network? Hoping that doesn't happen with my STBs being in the picture. My QIP 7216 DVR is about 10 years old. Since we have attic and crawlspace access, I was planning on having Cat 5e ran through the walls, but an electrician quoted me $4500 plus tax for 16 runs to 7 locations in the house plus a power outlet in a closet. No thanks. I don't think I'm handy enough to do it myself. My mom is highly sensitive to dust anyway, might be for the best to leave the walls alone. Maybe MoCA will work out nicely.
