I know that Frontier has nothing to do with these addresses. They did not buy them when they took over our local phone company, ATT.
These addresses are not managed through any Yahoo account settings, but rather on ATT.com. From there the password can be changed.
ATT phone support does not want to deal with these "customers" because they are not really customers. In fact, I have become aware of multiple instances where overseas ATT phone support refers these customers to scammy 3rd party technical support.
My question is -- can the old snet / att / sbcglobal account be completely deleted? I know someone who really needs to do this, but we haven't figured it out yet.
