[DSL] Very Poor Service From Frontier

I have been a long time Frontier customer and have their DSL service. Two weeks ago I called them and they told me that I could upgrade my 12 Mbps DSL service to 24 Mbps for an additional $10.00. I agreed and asked them to perform the upgrade. As of right now, they still haven't done this. Every time I call them I get transferred several times and I am on hold for long periods of time. The last call I had they said that someone needs to stop by to do something. They couldn't explain to me what it is that needs to be done. Does anybody has any helpful suggestions on how to get a better response from Frontier? Does anybody know where I can go to learn more about how DSL works?
