The HDMI port on my Tivo went bad so I had to get it replaced, thus comes the fun of re-pairing the cable card.. The call took less than 5 minutes, I was absolutely shocked. All we read on this site is the bad, hardly the good that can happen with Frontier. So I have to give credit where its due..
Now maybe I'm just lucky this go-round, but on my 1st cable card install back in Oct-15 it was a pain to get this thing paired with my Tivo Bolt. VZ FIOS support did get me squared away after some re-initialization of the card and such. I'm on my 2nd card right now as I cancelled service and signed back up as a new customer (under wife's name) in March. With the name swap they brought me a new cable card, that one paired really easy too. So perhaps its just the card, I don't know.
The guy I spoke with didn't have much experience with Cablecards which isn't uncommon, but I'm just glad I didn't have to do the usual long headache of getting it to work like I had in october and you commonly read about.
