I am having a lot of trouble setting up a consistent WIFI connection in my house. I used to have a Verizon M1424WR modem and everything seemed fine at the time. This was when it was still Verizon. I got a ROKU and it worked fine streaming Netflix videos just fine. Then my daughter gave me an Amazon Firestick and have had nothing but trouble. I checked the WIFI speed and was getting around 10 megabits down which seems pretty slow to me. Frontier tech support seemed to agree with me and sent me a Verizon Quantum Gateway G1100. This is faster but I still only get 30 megabits download but it bounces around a lot. I had a friend check the firestick at his house and it works just fine, so it seems to be my house that is causing the problem. The Router is on the second floor where it has been since we got FIOS and my TV is on the first floor. This seems to degrade the signal by quite a bit. So apart from completely rewiring the house, is there anything I can do to improve the situation?
