I saw Frontier's Vantage service the other day, and it somehow is *worse* than Comcast's over-compressed garbage. They have 5.9mbps per channel, how are they do bad at compressing that 5.9mbps looks far worse than Comcast's 3.8mbps? Comcast's picture doesn't have anything obviously wrong with it, until you see how much color and detail is just gone from the compression, but Frontier has excessive blocking, mosquito noise, and general nastiness all over the picture. I saw a picture of Robert Mueller on a news channel, and he looked like he was 120 years old, as the compression messed up the contours of his face.
How is Frontier this bad?
