I have a newer Motorola ONT.
It's Ethernet Connected to my Router.
My Router has a coax connection to my Primary Quantum DVR and Slave DVR.
Can I just plug my 2 Quantum DVR things to the router via Ethernet and have it work... so there is no coax at all... or does the coax still have to exist?
I think that I read that I can just use Ethernet... but wanted to double check.
Also... for a BONUS Question.... The Router that the ONT is connected to via Ethernet is NOT a Frontier Router. I have an Actiontec mi424wr router bridged into my main router. The coax 'network' is plugged into this Actiontec router. The Actiontec router gives out 192.x.x.x addresses to my DVR network. My Main router gives out 10.x.x.x. addresses.
Can I take the Actiontec router out of the equation all together and plug my DVRs into my mail router and give them local 10.x.x.x addresses... or does the Actiontec router still need to do magic to make the TV channels work?
